The Calcumate team created a new unique algorithm and API capable of calculating very accurate storage space. The initial brief to MOUX was to give Calcumate a new brand identity, build a B2B website as well as design the customer facing app.

Storage calculation can be really daunting, I’ve been working for the storage industry for several years and I’ve learnt that the key is simplicity. Using simple elements and trivial situations will make customer’s lives easier.

The website targeted storage business owners looking to increase the potential of their services. The app targeted a different market depending on the client specifications.

Creation.
Creation of a custom app to engage customers and business owners
In order to create a real experience I started collecting simple elements: normal house furniture and one of the simplest and clearest ways of displaying 3D elements, the isometric grid. The focus was getting a result with only a few clicks in order to take storage complexity out of this equation. The app needed to effectively demonstrate the amount of storage using real-life situations.
Iteration.
Versatile API interactive with a simple yet powerful interface
Several iterations were done in order to achieve the simplicity of getting an accurate calculation in only a few clicks. Pastel purple and blue and the isometric grid represent harmony, which is an important part of Calcumate brand guidelines.
